At the invitation of the Russian capital, Moscow, Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), he attended the Seventh International Scientific and Practical Conference, which discussed human rights protection and better exchange of Ombudsman practices. The conference was hosted by the Russian capital, Moscow.

As part of the meeting, representatives of human rights organizations and ombudsmen exchanged expertise and best practices on topics related to human rights protection.

As part of his speech, the NIHR president explained how the institution works, the amendments to its establishment law, and how the institution protects human rights in Bahrain.

Al Derazi, affirmed the NIHR's keenness to build balanced relations with civil society institutions, promote a legal and human rights culture, and to continue developing its work and efforts as an independent, neutral and strong platform for defending human rights in Bahrain.

The meeting concluded by issuing decisions and recommendations that promote cooperation in the field of upholding human rights, basic freedoms, social justice and human dignity.
