MANAMA: Rising prices of some food products following a tenfold increase in freight costs are due to a surge in their prices in the country of origin, said Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s food wealth committee vice-chairman Muslem Asad Mohammed. Prices of corn oil and sunflower oil imported from Malaysia, Turkey, Russia and Ukraine have gone up, he said .
