Royal Decree (93) of 2023, issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, signifies the appointment of the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). This appointment is made in accordance with the recommendation of the CCB Board of Directors and subsequent approval by the Cabinet.
Per the decree, Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan has been designated as the governor, serving a five-year term. The implementation of this decree falls under the responsibility of the Chairman of the CBB Board of Directors.
This decree is scheduled to come into effect on February 1st, 2024, and its official publication will be carried out through the Official Gazette.
