
The National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) today held a press conference at the Crown Prince Centre for Training and Medical Research at the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital to highlight latest COVID-19 developments.

began by highlighting that ongoing national efforts continue to ensure the safety and health of the Kingdom’s community emphasising the importance of following all measures issued by relevant authorities.
Dr Manaf emphasized the necessity of individual responsibility to overcome the outbreak. In line with this, he highlighted certain precautionary measures every person can implement.
“While re-entering your home after you go out, ensure you place your shoes in a separate place and clean and disinfect it. Secondly, place your personal belongings in a box and disinfect them. It is important that the disinfection and cleaning process be done scientifically when you remove your glove and face masks after that” said Lt. Col. Dr Manaf Al Qahtani-Member of the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19).
He highlighted that gloves must be removed first and disposed of properly followed by washing hands for over 20 seconds. Face masks should then be removed and then hands must be washed again.
Dr Manaf emphasized that these instructions were for the safety of the individual and those around, and recalled the importance of each individual 's commitment to the guidelines and instructions issued by the official authorities.
