Owners of electronic Shisha or vapes stores in Bahrain spoke to "Al-Bilad" about changing the customs requirements on the Saudi side, to limit the dispatch of bulk shipments sent to fake consignees.

“Vape Man” store owner, Hussain Shabeeb told Al-Bilad that the requirements for shipping to Saudi Arabia have changed recently, as to be maximum one device and a box of coils, 1 juice bottle (flavor) of either 60 mm or 30 mm only.

He pointed out that the reason behind changing the requirements is the abuse of some merchants in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, which are subject to single shipment and shipment of quantities in batches to traders in Saudi Arabia under dummy recipients, which led to the impact of sales for stores in Bahrain with a decrease by 70% to 80%.

Owner of OHMS VAPE stores, Hassan Al-Matrook, told Al-Bilad that the shipments had been held for one month since they were sent on June 20 and still pending without a decision whether to be confiscated or released.

He added that the shops have already lost during this period as the held items did not reach their consignees and they cannot be returned after they were exposed to the high temperature under the sun and with conditions that doesn’t meet the storage minimum requirements.
