
The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has participated in the Social Responsibility Forum and Award for the Arab Family 2020, held on June 20-21.
Themed “Arab family stability in the post-Covid-19 period”, the event is organised by the Arab Family Organisation, the Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network and the International Union for Social Responsibility (IUSR).
SCW Acting Assistant Secretary-General, Shaikha Dina bint Rashid Al Khalifa, participated virtually in the first session of the forum. She highlighted the pivotal role played by the SCW to support Bahraini women and families to overcome the challenges created by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
She stressed that the SCW has strengthened its work with various social segments, in cooperation with the relevant institutions, through the launch of the “Together for the safety of Bahrain” campaign to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on Bahraini women and families.
She also shed light on the efforts exerted by the kingdom to combat coronavirus.
