Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa has today chaired the coordination meeting via video conference.

He commended efforts to implement the directives of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.

He lauded the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to meet citizens’ needs.

The Southern Governor followed up the progress of work on a number of projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. He was also updated on the developments of work in the Khalifa Town Health Centre.

He extended thanks to the medical and nursing teams, hailing their vital role in combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The tribute was on the occasion of the International Nursing Day, which falls on May 12.
