Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, the Head of the Parliamentary Delegation Executive Committee, has affirmed the importance of cooperation between the GCC legislative councils to back the governments’ efforts to handle coronavirus outbreak and the exceptional circumstances resulting from it. She stressed the role of the GCC legislative councils’ meetings in boosting cooperation and mapping out plans and visions on various issues.

The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking as she chaired today a coordination meeting of the parliamentary delegation which convened to discuss participation in the 13th periodic meeting of the GCC General Assemblies Chairpersons which is slated to be held on July 21 via the Visual Communication Technology (VCT). She affirmed the role of continuous GCC meetings in promoting unity and synergizing efforts to tackle various issues.
