Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), Dr. Mustafa al-Sayed Al-Ameen, has revealed that a special committee to coordinate the efforts of the national campaign, ‘Feena Khair’ has been formed.

 

The panel comprises representatives from the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Ministry of Health and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority.

Dr. Al-Sayed pointed out that the "Feena Khair" Campaign, which was launched to support the national efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), led by his Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and in line with the directives of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Board of Trustees Chairman of the RHF, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has presented a distinguished example of giving and social cohesion for the sake of the nation, and in order to defeat the virus and ensure the safety and health of everyone.

The committee shall follow up on the disbursement of aid amounts according to the plan and the criteria that have been approved, supervising the registration of eligible groups by launching a website and a registration hotline, and overseeing the distribution of the campaign amounts to families that been impacted by the Coronavirus, Al-Sayed said.

It shall also submit periodic reports on the spend amounts, and devise the appropriate plans to implement precautionary and medical guidelines during the distribution of aid and Iftar meals, he added. 

RHF Secretary-General explained that the disbursement of the amounts donated to the "Feena Khair" Campaign includes the distribution of Iftar meals on a daily basis, presenting purchasing coupons, supporting productive families through the purchase of masks and handmade face masks, in addition to supporting the efforts of the General directorate of Civil Defence regarding sterilisation operations, as well as the provision of computers for needy families.

It is noteworthy that the "Feena Khair" Campaign has received more than BD37 million, or about US$100 million between April 12 and 30.
