Private sector companies have started disbursing April salaries to employees registered with the General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI).

The move is in line with the royal directives to launch financial and economic stimulus packages in support of Bahrainis working in the private sector and ensure the payment of their salaries for April, May and June, amid nationwide efforts to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan said that most GOSI-registered citizens working in the private sector have been paid their wages for this month.

He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier on providing liquidity to the private sector to withstand current social and economic resulting from COVID-19 pandemic.

The minister extended thanks to the private sector companies for their cooperation and commitment to paying their Bahraini employees’ salaries.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Development has announced the opening of communication channels with the concerned citizens, in order to report and register complaints in the event of non-receipt of the wages of the current month of April.

Employees intending to file complaints for non-receipt of wages are required to  dials phone numbers 17873919- 17873918- 17873913, during the official working hours, or send  a notification  via e-mail   insp@mlsd.gov.bh.
