Today, a telephone conversation took place between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Deputy King, and His Excellency Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the State of Palestine.

During the call, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to President Abbas.

The Deputy King underscored that supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people is essential for the maintenance of security and peace.

He also stressed the significance of delivering humanitarian assistance, including food, water, electricity, and medical aid to the Gaza Strip, while upholding the protection of civilians in accordance with international humanitarian laws.

His Royal Highness emphasized the unwavering stance of the Kingdom of Bahrain and highlighted the importance of seeking a just resolution to the Palestinian issue. This can be achieved by promoting and supporting comprehensive peace initiatives, ultimately leading to a two-state solution in line with the Arab Peace Initiative. He reiterated that peace and adherence to the Initiative remain the only viable path to secure the rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital
