Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), will attend the 7th edition of the Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Review Conference on November 1-4 with the Royal Medical Services (RMS) and the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Center (MKCC).

A key objective of the conference, according to Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, was to provide a platform for exchanging expertise among the participants and highlight the latest scientific findings in this field, including treatment methods and modern techniques, contributing to developing the kingdom's medical sector and improving the performance of cardiologists, which will positively affect the services provided to patients suffering from heart disease locally and regionally.

In his remarks, he said that the conference is an international event usually held in the US, and that the kingdom is hosting it as an exceptional event. More than 250 experts from Bahrain as well as other countries are expected to attend.

In addition, he praised RMS and MKCC for their ongoing coordination, noting that the conference at MKCC will strengthen their partnership.

It will be attended by 14 lecturers from Mayo Clinic, according to the conference chairman, Brigadier Dr. Haitham Ameen.

Workshops and an accompanying exhibition will also be part of the event, he added.
