Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received Vice Admiral Charles B. Cooper II, Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command, Commander of the US Fifth Fleet, and Commander of the Combined Maritime Forces, at Gudaibiya Palace today.

Bahrain and the United States of America have longstanding relations, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that their bilateral cooperation is deep and strong at all levels, particularly at the military and defence levels.

The United States of America, along with allied countries, plays a pivotal role in consolidating international peace and security, according to His Royal Highness.

He noted the importance of consolidating bilateral relations across all sectors through agreements, memoranda, and diplomacy visits, such as the recently signed Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).

Discussions focused on issues of common interest, regional and international developments, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

On an international scale, His Royal Highness stressed the crucial role the US plays in safeguarding regional and global safety and stability, which are essential for progress and development.

Additionally, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, attended.
