His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a meeting today with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Bahrain, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the strong and enduring relations between Bahrain and the UAE, emphasizing Bahrain's dedication to further enhancing these bilateral ties in accordance with the shared visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan conveyed a written letter from the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The letter included an official invitation for HRH to attend the 28th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will take place in Expo City, Dubai.

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan also extended the warm regards of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to HRH, and in return, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

HRH Prince Salman highlighted the UAE's significant efforts in hosting COP28, the 28th annual United Nations meeting on climate change. He acknowledged the UAE's ongoing commitment to addressing climate change and promoting environmental security.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to supporting global initiatives aimed at achieving climate objectives and a sustainable future.

In response, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan expressed his appreciation for HRH's support in strengthening the robust partnership between Bahrain and the UAE, which benefits both nations and their citizens.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
