The 52nd Union Day of the United Arab Emirates is celebrated amidst a backdrop of wide-ranging national, regional, and global achievements, attributed to the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

The Kingdom of Bahrain, under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with its people, eagerly commemorates the UAE’s National Day on December 2. This day marks the anniversary of the UAE's establishment as an independent country in 1971.

Bahrain and the UAE share enduring ties, further strengthened by the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE President.
The foundations of their relationship are deeply rooted in historical ties and shared visions.
This is evident in the distinguished relations between their leaderships over time, as well as their close collaboration within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and at the Arab and Islamic levels.

The Bahrain-UAE relations thrive on their distinct geographical and strategic significance. Additionally, both countries adhere to wise, balanced, and moderate foreign policies, emphasizing peace promotion and cultivating a culture of mutual respect among nations.

Both nations are exemplars in the region for adopting distinguished development approaches and human rights principles.
They implement ambitious policies and initiatives to uphold institutional and legal frameworks, fostering a broad foundation for coexistence, tolerance, and human fraternity.

Established in 2000, the Joint Higher Committee, following the leaderships' directives, regulates work mechanisms, joint projects, and the activation of agreements and memoranda of understanding, contributing significantly to expanding bilateral cooperation.
This cooperation extends across political, military, economic, and developmental realms, reflected in the substantial Bahrain-UAE trade exchange, surpassing $6 billion in 2022.

As per the foreign trade report issued by the Information and e-Government Authority in May 2023, the UAE stands as Bahrain's second-largest import and export partner, with imports totaling BD 57 million and national-origin exports valued at BD 38 million.
The UAE also leads in re-exports with a value of 24 million, according to the iGA report.
