Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Bahrain's Minister of Health, took part in the 70th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean (RC70) in Cairo, Egypt, centered around the theme "United for a Healthier Future."

The minister emphasized that Bahrain's presence at this session underscores its commitment to endorsing regional endeavors aimed at researching and deliberating on crucial health matters, as well as reviewing significant topics.

During the session, participants engaged in discussions regarding the development and execution of national health plans to ensure the application of clinical practices and public health principles. They also discussed the ongoing commitment of United Nations agencies to the implementation of health-related sustainable development goals, in order to support member states in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

Dr. Jaleela highlighted the importance of collaborative regional efforts in achieving sustainable development goals, expediting comprehensive health coverage, and guaranteeing health for all.
