General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive Officer of the Information and eGovernment Authority.

During the 10th Bahrain International eGovernment Forum held last week during which the eGovernment Excellence Awards winners were announced, Al Qaed introduced the work team to the Interior Minister.

In welcoming Al Qaed and the team members, the Interior Minister expressed appreciation for the authority's role in organizing the forum as part of an integrated framework for promoting the best electronic initiatives, ideas, and projects to support the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


In introducing new categories to promote e-excellence culture among individuals and civic organizations, the organizing committee and management of the eGovernment Excellence Award kept up with technological advances. The government's digital initiatives and projects were displayed at the COMEX Bahrain Exhibition, which was held on the sidelines of the forum, he said.
