Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has announced that the 27th Joint Ministerial Council between the GCC and the European Union (EU) is scheduled for Tuesday, October 10, in Oman.

This meeting will be chaired by Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs and the current Chairman of the Ministerial Council. It will also include the participation of Foreign Ministers from both GCC and EU countries, with the presence of Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Albudaiwi emphasized the strong relationship between the GCC and the EU and their commitment to enhancing cooperation based on the previously signed GCC-EU Partnership Agreement.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the meeting aims to advance the strategic dialogue between the GCC and the EU. This dialogue encompasses discussions on bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them across various levels. Additionally, it involves the exchange of perspectives on regional and international matters, taking into account the rapidly evolving regional and global developments.
