Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defence, held a meeting with President Rashad Al Alimi of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and its members.
The defense minister's meeting with Al Alimi was carried out in accordance with the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Prince Khalid bin Salman conveyed the warm regards and gratitude of the Saudi leadership to the President and members of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the meeting, the defense minister also expressed the leadership's unwavering support for Yemen, aiming to ensure the security, stability, and prosperity of its people.
In response, Al Alimi asked Prince Khalid bin Salman to extend his greetings to the Saudi leadership.
The discussions encompassed various topics, including the evolving situation in Yemen, collective efforts to bolster the Yemeni peace process, and a review of regional and global matters of mutual interest.
The defense minister reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and emphasized the encouragement of Yemeni parties to work towards a comprehensive, sustainable political resolution to the Yemeni crisis. This resolution would be conducted under the guidance of the United Nations, with the ultimate goal of achieving security, peace, stability, and development within Yemen
