During his visit to Bahrain at the invitation of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization - Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO-ITPO), Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with Chen Daixing, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Federation. The discussion revolved around bilateral collaboration, primarily focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and other shared areas of interest.

The Minister emphasized the significance of fostering entrepreneurship among young individuals, promoting innovation, and encouraging AI investment. He underscored the role of youth in economic growth and innovation, emphasizing the importance of providing support to empower them in developing their entrepreneurial ventures.

Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro also commended the Shenzhen Federation for its global prominence in technology innovation.

In return, the Secretary-General expressed appreciation for Bahrain's support in offering valuable opportunities for technical exchange and research and development cooperation.

Dr. Hashim Hussain, Head of the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office, highlighted the Kingdom's pivotal role as a gateway for transitioning existing industrial and commercial systems toward digitization and AI.
