Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, took part in the Dubai Airshow 2023, hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

The Minister emphasized the enduring ties between Bahrain and the UAE and their advancing cooperation across diverse sectors, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

He highlighted the UAE's success in organizing international conferences, including the Dubai Airshow, contributing to the aviation sector's growth and affirming the UAE's prominent regional and global position.

Minister Al Kaabi commended the efforts of the Dubai Airshow organizers, recognizing it as a distinguished platform for aviation industry investors and stakeholders.

During the exhibition, Al Kaabi met with Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the UAE Space Agency. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in science and technology, exchanging scientific expertise, and building a society with awareness of modern sciences for future generations.

Al Kaabi also met Kamil Al Awadhi, Regional Vice President of Africa and the Middle East at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), praising IATA's regulatory role in the air transport industry and its efforts to maintain service levels for companies and customers.

He highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and IATA in organizing international forums and joint workshops, fostering expertise exchange and discussing opportunities in the regional aviation sector.

The Minister held meetings with representatives of Emirati and international companies participating in the Dubai Airshow 2023, discussing ways to enhance relations and explored the latest developments in the aviation sector. He visited various companies to stay updated on modern technology contributing to the global travel and tourism sector, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all sectors.

The biennial Dubai International Airshow is a key global trade exhibition, showcasing the latest civil and military aircraft.
