Minister of the Royal Court Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received the 20th National Audit Office (NAO) annual report 2022-2023 from NAO President Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa as assigned by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
In his remarks, the minister commended the NAO for its efforts in preserving public funds and ensuring they are well managed according to law.
He emphasized the office's role as an independent agency that enhances efficiency, productivity, and optimal resource utilization.
According to the NAO president, the progress of the office has been bolstered by the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In addition to reviewing the royal court's future development plans and programmes, the minister spoke about enhancing the NAO's capabilities, digital transformation, and the effective use of technology.
The NAO aims to include information systems, cybersecurity, and other monitoring services in its monitoring services.
According to Shaikh Ahmed, the NAO's report included the observations and recommendations of the NAO's task forces for the year 2022-2023, which covered economic, social, and service sectors.
