Ghada Hamid Habib, the Ombudswoman, has announced that the Independent Ombudsman Office will host an international conference to commemorate the tenth anniversary of its establishment. The conference, titled "The Effectiveness of Ombudsmen in Institutional Work and their Role in Promoting Respect for Human Rights," will take place from October 18 to 19.

The Ombudswoman emphasized that this conference serves as a platform for individuals interested in the activities of ombudsman offices worldwide to convene and engage in discussions and idea exchange regarding the work of their organizations and their contributions to advancing human rights.

Furthermore, the conference will feature interactive sessions covering significant aspects of ombudsman office work, including historical and reference perspectives, as well as essential standards and practices that govern their mandate. Subject matter experts in this field will deliver speeches during the event.
