At the Red Theatre of Princess Noura University in Riyadh, the Saudi Music Commission announced yesterday the conclusion of the second edition of the three-day International Opera Festival.

 The event featured famous operatic pieces and performances performed by several opera artists; cultural information about the history of opera was also shown on screens throughout the theater, including information about the voices that make up this art, as well as the common instruments used in it.

 During the festival, a "Franco Zeffirelli Exhibition" displayed items of decoration and costumes from the most famous opera performances, as well as a photo corner in the classic style for visitors to take souvenir photos.

 Music Commission hopes to create an annual international event celebrating opera as a distinctive musical form and educating about cultures from around the world through this festival.

 As part of its strategic goals, the Ministry of Culture is eager to promote cultural exchange internationally.
