Ahmed Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, met with Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry.

In this meeting, the importance of urban development in building sustainable cities was discussed, topics of common interest were reviewed, and Muscat Municipality's experience with afforestation, road aesthetics, public parks, and initiatives to improve local services was reviewed.

Shaikh Mohammed said the visit aimed to exchange expertise in municipal work as well as invest in development-related opportunities.

Bahrain's sustainable development goals (SDGs) require further development of environmental preservation initiatives, policies, and programs.
