Tougher punishments could be introduced under new amendments that would criminalise stocking or overpricing of products. The amendments to the 2012 Consumer Protection Law were recommended by the Shura Council financial and economic affairs committee yesterday and spearheaded by committee chairman Khalid Al Maskati .
