Two European females, aged 32 and 43, passed away after drowning in a swimming pool in a residential building in Juffair area, this was announced by the Ministry of Interior on its official social media accounts.

Not much information was revealed by authorities, but preliminary information of the accident, which occurred today, indicated that it was reported to the relevant authorities who immediately responded and were present at the site.

The Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense and the Capital Police stated that they initiated an investigation into the accident to figure out the circumstances of the incident.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior warns to take maximum precautions when it comes to swimming pools every year with the hot weather approaching.
