Nawal Ibrahim Ahmed Al Khater, the Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies, and Performance at the Ministry of Education, engaged in discussions with Dr. Fengchun Miao, who serves as the Chief of the Unit for Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education at the Education Sector UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. This meeting occurred during her involvement in the General Conference of UNESCO during its forty-second session.

Al Khater examined the advancements, policies, and strategies pertinent to AI's implementation within Bahrain's educational frameworks.

The conversation stressed the significance of enhancing the educational portal—a national e-learning resource supporting digital empowerment in education. This platform aims to facilitate communication among student databases, parents, and educators.

The meeting also underscored collaboration between the Ministry of Education and UNESCO concerning AI in education. They explored avenues for leveraging the exchange of experiences to ensure the continuity of apprenticeships and training, aligning with shared objectives, particularly the fourth goal outlined in UNESCO's 2030 strategy.
